Sidewinder Motion Stakes Instructions

  1. Select a calling location. The location  should provide concealment and a wide field of view.
  2. From the calling location, pace off 20-25 yards into the open area.
  3. Slide the T handle onto the bottom section of the stake. With both hands push the stake into the ground, preferably all the way to the bottom cap.
  4. Insert the top section of the stake into the bottom section.
  5. Place the strutting decoy on the threaded pin located on the top section of the stake. Face the decoy to the desired diretion and tighten the wing nut.
  6. Place the hen decoy several yards to the left or right of the strutting decoy.
  7. Connect the decoy cord to the eye bolt located on the bottom section of the stake. Walk directly back to the calling location unwinding the decoy cord.
  8. Pulling the decoy cord will activate the clockwise motion of the strutting decoy. Slowly releasing tension on the decoy cord will return the strutting decoy back to its original position.
